Jerrabomberra Wetlands Circuit

Starting from the car park off Dairy Road, Fyshwick, this circuit walk explores the wetlands of Jerrabomberra, crossing the Jerrabomberra Creek and visiting various viewpoints along the way. This quiet stroll around the creek is filled with birdlife, so be an ‘early bird’ yourself to avoid the crowd and get the most out of your birdwatching session. Stop on the bridge over the creek and see if you can spot different types of fish. You might even catch some ducks having a diving competition if you’re stealthy enough. The walk is also kid-friendly, making it a great destination for family picnics with plenty of benches for you to sit on. Watch out for bikes and remember to take your rubbish with you. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started
From the car park off Dairy Road(1.05km northwest of the intersection with Newcastle Street), head towards the concrete walking/bicycle track marked with a “Jerrabomberra Wetlands Nature Reserve” signpost next to the red-and-white taped bollards, passing through the line of rocks. Turn left and follow the stripped concrete track as you keep the car park to your left.Stay on the track and pass by an angled signed post with bike racks behind it to continue along Jerrabomberra Wetlands Circuit.....

	After another 90 m continue straight. After another 80 m cross the ford. After another 90 m continue straight. After another 100 m pass a seat (6 m on your right). After another 40 m veer left. After another 8 m pass a seat (5 m on your right). After another 130 m continue straight. There is a bird hide to your left.(Cygnus)
	After another 125 m veer right. After another 70 m turn right. After another 8 m come to a sign.

	After another 55 m come to the end. "Fulica". Turn around and retrace your steps back the 55 m to the main route.
