Getting started
From the Taipan Wall Carpark (next to Mount Zero Picnic Area), head towards the dirt track next to the green parking sign. Head along the said track for about 30 metres, then turn right at the 3-way intersection. Follow the said track as you keep the ridge to your left to continue along the GPT S1: Barigar (Mt Zero to Gar) Track.....

GPT S1: Barigar (Mt Zero to Gar)

Getting Started
From the Taipan Wall Carpark (next to Mount Zero Picnic Area), head towards the dirt track next to the green parking sign. Head along the said track for about 30 metres, then turn right at the 3-way intersection. Follow the said track as you keep the ridge to your left to continue along the GPT S1: Barigar (Mt Zero to Gar) Track.

	Start. There is a car park (about 30 m back from the start).
	After another 45 m turn right. Then pass the toilet (20 m on your left). After another 20 m continue straight, to head along Mount Stapylton Loop Walk. After another 630 m continue straight, to head along Mount Stapylton Loop Walk.
	After another 1.3 km turn right, to head along Mount Stapylton Loop Walk.
	After another 2.3 km (at the intersection of Grampians Peaks Trail & Mount Stapylton Loop Walk) continue straight, to head along Grampians Peaks Trail.
	After another 540 m continue straight, to head along Grampians Peaks Trail. After another 7 km come to the "Barigar Hike-in Campground" (40 m on your left). There is a fee to use this campsite.
	After another 3.7 km (at the intersection of Roses Gap Road & Grampians Peaks Trail) turn left, to head along Roses Gap Road (a highway\|tertiary). After another 60 m (at the intersection of Grampians Peaks Trail & Roses Gap Road) turn right, to head along Grampians Peaks Trail (a walking track). After another 450 m cross the stepping stones. After another 160 m cross the stepping stones.
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. This little side trip takes you to the Troopers Creek Campground. To start this optional side trip turn right here. On returning from this side trip turn left when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 9 m (at the intersection of Gar Waterfalls Walk & Grampians Peaks Trail) veer left, to head along Gar Waterfalls Walk. After another 200 m pass the waterfall (15 m on your left). After another 10 m head up the 25 rock steps (about 9 m long) After another 500 m cross the ford. After another 5 m head up the 27 earthen steps (about 10 m long) After another 125 m head up the 18 earthen steps (about 10 m long) After another 20 m head up the 16 earthen steps (about 9 m long) After another 9 m head up the 9 earthen steps (about 5 m long) After another 150 m pass the waterfall (35 m on your right). After another 160 m cross the ford. After another 185 m cross the ford. After another 20 m pass the waterfall (30 m on your right). After another 315 m cross the ford. 	After another 940 m (at the intersection of Briggs Bluff Walk & Grampians Peaks Trail) turn right, to head along Briggs Bluff Walk.
	After another 870 m turn right, to head along Briggs Bluff Walk. After another 175 m cross the ford. After another 570 m (at the intersection of Grampians Peaks Trail & Briggs Bluff Walk) continue straight, to head along Grampians Peaks Trail. After another 200 m cross the ford. After another 15 m come to the "Mud Creek bush campsite" (on your left). After another 285 m come to the camp site (6 m on your left).
	Turn right, to head along Grampians Peaks Trail. After another 1.8 km come to the viewpoint (35 m on your right). Continue straight, to head along Grampians Peaks Trail.
	After another 275 m come to "Gar". The end.

This little side trip takes you to the Troopers Creek Campground.

	The end. Turn around and retrace your steps back the 220 m to the main route.

GPT S2: Gar to Halls Gap

	After another 1 km (at the intersection of Grampians Peaks Trail & Mount Difficult Road) continue straight, to head along Grampians Peaks Trail. After another 1.8 km come to the viewpoint (on your left). After another 1.7 km cross the ford. After another 295 m cross the stepping stones. After another 40 m cross the stepping stones. After another 290 m cross the stepping stones. After another 180 m cross the stepping stones. After another 210 m cross the stepping stones. After another 1.1 km pass the sign.

On returning from this side trip continue straight when you get back to this intersection. Details below. At the intersection of Chatauqua Peak Walk & Grampians Peaks Trail turn left, to head along Chatauqua Peak Walk. After another 450 m come to the viewpoint (10 m on your left).
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. This little side trip takes you to the Clematis Falls for a refreshing stop. To start this optional side trip veer left here. On returning from this side trip turn left when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 860 m (at the intersection of Chatauqua Peak Walk & Clematis Falls Walk) turn sharp right, to head along Chatauqua Peak Walk. After another 35 m pass the sign (on your right). After another 35 m cross the bridge (about 9 m long) After another 540 m cross the bridge (about 6 m long) After another 180 m pass the sign (on your right). At the intersection of Chatauqua Peak Walk & Mt Difficult Fireline continue straight (a vehicle track). After another 230 m head through/around the gate.
	After another 15 m turn left, to head along Mount Victory Road. After another 9 m continue straight, to head along Mount Victory Road. After another 95 m pass the toilet (20 m on your left). After another 25 m veer right, to head along Mount Victory Road.
	After another 30 m (at the intersection of Grampians Road & Mount Victory Road) turn right, to head along Grampians Road (a road). After another 50 m continue straight, to head along Grampians Road.
	After another 50 m (at the intersection of School Road & Grampians Road) turn right, to head along School Road (a residential road).
	After another 220 m turn right. After another 30 m pass the sign (on your left). After another 75 m head through/around the gate.
	After another 95 m turn left, to head along Venus Baths Walk. After another 20 m pass the sign (8 m on your right). Then cross the bridge (about 20 m long)
	After another 70 m come to the end.

This optional side trip takes you to the top of Mount Difficult.

	After another 205 m (at the intersection of Sundial Carpark to Rosea Carpark & Sundial to Bellfield track) turn right, to head along Sundial Carpark to Rosea Carpark.

	After another 15 m turn left, to head along Silverband Road. Then to find the "Rosea Carpark". After another 20 m (at the intersection of Stony Creek Road & Silverband Road) turn right, to head along Stony Creek Road (a vehicle track). After another 50 m (at the intersection of Stony Creek Road & Mt Rosea Track) continue straight, to head along Stony Creek Road. After another 1 km continue straight, to head along Stony Creek Road. 	Turn sharp left.
	After another 400 m turn right, to head along Mt Rosea Track.
	After another 1.9 km (at the intersection of Mt Rosea Track & Mt Rosea Grand Stairway Track) continue straight, to head along Mt Rosea Track. After another 265 m pass the "Gate of the East Wind" (25 m on your left). After another 10 m cross the bridge (about 6 m long) After another 760 m pass a seat (55 m on your left)., has no backrest.
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. This side trip will take you to the viewpoint atop Mount Rosea. To start this optional side trip turn left here. On returning from this side trip turn left when you get back to this intersection. Details below. Veer right, to head along Mt Rosea Track. After another 930 m cross the ford. After another 430 m cross the ford. After another 470 m cross the ford.
	After another 105 m turn right, to head along Mt Rosea Track. After another 710 m (at the intersection of Burma Track & Mt Rosea Track) veer left, to head along Burma Track. After another 400 m pass the "Glen Falls" (75 m on your right).

GPT S5: Jimmy Creek to Griffin

Getting Started
From the easternmost point in Jimmy Creek Campground, head along the singular wide dirt road towards the Grampians Road. Take a right when you reach the asphalt and follow Grampians Road for about 220 metres. Then take a sharp left turn and head along the wide dirt road to continue along the GPT S5: Jimmy Creek to Griffin Track.

	After another 8.5 km (at the intersection of Grampians Road & Grampians Peaks Trail) continue straight, to head along Grampians Peaks Trail.
	After another 2.4 km (at the intersection of Grampians Peaks Trail & Griffin Fireline) turn left, to head along Griffin Fireline (a vehicle track).
	After another 830 m (at the intersection of Grampians Road & Griffin Fireline) turn right, to head along Grampians Road (a road).
	After another 600 m turn left.
	After another 70 m come to the end.

GPT S6: Griffin to Dunkeld

Getting Started
From the Griffin Picnic Area (off Grampians Road), head towards the asphalt road via the dirt path. Take a right turn and follow the said paved road for about 600 metres. Then take a left turn and head towards the metal gate along the dirt trail, gently uphill. Head over/around the gate and stay on the said trail to continue along GPT S6: Griffin to Dunkeld Track.

On returning from this side trip turn left when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 2.2 km (at the intersection of Grampians Peaks Trail & Signal Peak Walk) continue straight, to head along Grampians Peaks Trail.
	After another 1.9 km (at the intersection of Mt Abrupt Walking Track & Grampians Peaks Trail) continue straight, to head along Mt Abrupt Walking Track. After another 1.5 km come to the "Mt Abrupt" (40 m on your left).
	At the intersection of Grampians Peaks Trail & Mt Abrupt Walking Track turn sharp right, to head along Grampians Peaks Trail.
	After another 4.4 km continue straight, to head along Grampians Peaks Trail.
	After another 370 m (at the intersection of The Piccaninny Walk & Grampians Peaks Trail) turn sharp right, to head along The Piccaninny Walk.
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. This optional side trip takes you the top of The Piccaninny. Keep in mind that this side trip may be challenging for some due to the steepness of the track. To start this optional side trip veer left here. On returning from this side trip veer left when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 660 m turn right, to head along The Piccaninny Walk. After another 940 m (Victoria Valley Road Trailhead) continue straight, to head along Grampians Peaks Trail.
	After another 30 m (at the intersection of Grampians Peaks Trail & Victoria Valley Road) veer right, to head along Grampians Peaks Trail.
	After another 200 m continue straight, to head along Grampians Peaks Trail. After another 85 m (at the intersection of Mount Sturgeon Track & Grampians Peaks Trail) turn right, to head along Mount Sturgeon Track. After another 1.3 km come to the viewpoint (8 m on your left). Continue straight, to head along Mount Sturgeon Track.
	After another 410 m continue straight, to head along Mount Sturgeon Track. Then come to the viewpoint (30 m on your left). After another 50 m pass the "Mount Sturgeon" (85 m on your right).
	After another 3.8 km continue straight.
	After another 210 m turn right. After another 265 m cross the ford.
	After another 45 m veer right. After another 1.3 km cross the ford. After another 75 m continue straight, to head along Adams Street. After another 250 m pass the "Royal Mail Hotel" (110 m on your right).
	At the intersection of Dunlop Street & Adams Street veer left, to head along Adams Street. After another 205 m pass the "Izzy’s Cafe" (120 m on your right). W:izzys.com.au Mo-Th 09:00-18:30 Fr-Su 09:00-19:30
	After another 15 m (at the intersection of Sterling Street & Adams Street) continue straight, to head along Adams Street. After another 5 m pass the "Dunkeld Information Centre" (130 m on your right). Mo-Su 09:00-17:00 After another 70 m pass the "Dunkeld Toilets" (125 m on your right). This toilet is wheelchair accessible. After another 70 m continue straight, to head along Adams Street.
	After another 80 m come to the end.

This little side trip takes you to the Signal Peak.

	At the intersection of Signal Peak Walk & Grampians Peaks Trail Start heading along Signal Peak Walk (a walking track). After another 195 m come to "Signal Peak".
	Continue another 0 m to find Signal Peak at the end. Turn around and retrace your steps back the 195 m to the main route.

This optional side trip takes you the top of The Piccaninny. Keep in mind that this side trip may be challenging for some due to the steepness of the track.
