Starting at Dangars Falls Road car park, this return walk explores the lively woodland of Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. Stop at Rock Wallaby lookout for scenic views of the area. Let us begin by acknowledging the Gumbaynggirr & Anaiwan people, Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

  • Turn right onto Roslyn Avenue and drive for another 240 m
  • Turn right onto Kennedy Street, 19 and drive for another 7.6 km
  • Keep left onto Dangars Falls Road and drive for another 10.9 km
  • Continue onto Dangars Falls Road and drive for another 50 m

Find the car park at the start.
After another 95 m cross the bridge (about 60 m long)
After another 360 m cross the bridge (about 3 m long)
After another 140 m head through/around the gate.
The starting point of an alternate route. Alternate route to Falls Lookdown with views over Dangars Falls. To take the alternate route continue straight here. Details below.
Continue straight.
After another 280 m come to the "Rock Wallaby Lookout" (155 m on your left).
The starting point of an optional sidetrip. Side trip to Rock Wallaby Lookout. To start this optional side trip turn left here. On returning from this side trip veer left when you get back to this intersection. Details below.
Turn right.
After another 700 m continue straight.
After another 1.3 km come to "McDirty's Lookout".
Turn around here and retrace the main route for 2.9 km to get back to the start.

Alternate route to Falls Lookdown with views over Dangars Falls.

About 85 m past the end is "Falls View".
Continue straight.
After another 20 m come to the "Falls Lookdown".
Turn left.
After another 15 m come to the end.
At the end of this alternate route, rejoin the main route.

Side trip to Rock Wallaby Lookout.

After another 130 m come to "Rock Wallaby Lookout".
Continue another 0 m to find Rock Wallaby Lookout at the end.
Turn around and retrace your steps back the 130 m to the main route.
