Tabbil-ban Dhagun Circuit

Starting from the car park at the end of Oquinn Street, Nudgee Beach, this little circuit walk gives you a tour of the northwestern Boondall wetlands via the Tabbil-ban Dhagun Track. Expect a peaceful and quiet journey along a wheelchair accessible boardwalk that will provide you coastal views as well. The area is perfect for birdwatching as the migratory bird species feed on the tidal flats here. Other than birds, you’ll be able to spot crabs (at low tide) and interesting bugs in these wetlands. The Aboriginal name of the track means 'place of salt water', for your information. A strong insect repellent, a hat and sunscreen is highly recommended. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started
From the car park at the end of Oquinn Street, head towards the metal gate with yellow & black stripes on it along the concrete path. Pass through the gap next to the gate and join the dirt track. Stay on the said track as you keep the ocean to your right to continue along Tabbil-ban Dhagun Circuit(counterclockwise).....

	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. This side trip takes you to the birdhide overlooking the tidal flats where you can spot many migratory birds as mentioned in the description. To start this optional side trip veer right here. On returning from this side trip error >360 when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 320 m veer left. Then cross the bridge (about 90 m long) After another 35 m cross the bridge (about 780 m long)
	Turn left. After another 105 m cross the bridge (about 220 m long)
	After another 4 m turn left.
	After another 120 m turn left. About 120 m past the end is a toilet. About 30 m past the end is a water tap.
