Wickham Peak from Quinzeh Creek Road

Starting from Quinzeh Creek Road, Cedar Creek, this walk takes you to Wickham Peak and back via the Eastern Quinzeh Link and On Edge Trail, exploring the woodland of Wickham Timber Reserve along the way. The peak offers you great northeasterly views, with the city of Brisbane in the distance. You’ll walk along some impressive rock formations and possible blankets of colourful wild flowers which pop up from late winter to spring. Keep an eye out for rare bird species such as the White-throated needletail and listen to the relaxing birdsong throughout the track. You may run into some cute koalas and southern greater gliders as well. Try to time the hike so the sun is setting when you’re at the peak for extra striking views. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Directions	From Pacific Motorway, M1 Turn on to then drive for 450 m At roundabout, take exit 5 onto Stapylton Jacobs Well Road and drive for another 335 m At roundabout, take exit 1 onto Stanmore Road and drive for another 290 m At roundabout, take exit 2 onto Stanmore Road and drive for another 1.8 km At roundabout, take exit 2 onto Stanmore Road and drive for another 1.2 km At roundabout, take exit 2 onto Stanmore Road and drive for another 3.8 km Keep left onto Stanmore Road and drive for another 45 m Turn slight left onto Beaudesert Beenleigh Road, 92 and drive for another 2.8 km Turn right onto Veivers Road and drive for another 5.7 km Turn sharp left onto Eastern Quinzeh Link and drive for another 1 m

Getting started
From Quinzeh Creek Road(1.18km northeast of intersection with Condamine Drive), head towards the metal gate marked by the green “Wickham Timber Reserve” sign. Head over/around the gate and join the wide dirt track (Eastern Quinzeh) veering left gently uphill. About 300 metres later, keep left at the 3-way intersection to continue along “Wickham Peak from Quinzeh Creek Road” Track.....

	At the intersection of Quinzeh Creek Road & Eastern Quinzeh Link Start heading along Eastern Quinzeh Link (a vehicle track). Find the gate at the start. After another 295 m (at the intersection of Eastern Quinzeh Link & Eastern Break) continue straight, to head along Eastern Quinzeh Link.
	After another 285 m veer left, to head along Eastern Quinzeh Link.
	After another 60 m (at the intersection of Eastern Quinzeh Link & On Edge Trail) turn left, to head along On Edge Trail (a walking track). After another 590 m (at the intersection of Boundary Break & On Edge Trail) continue straight, to head along Grass Tree Break (a vehicle track).
	After another 45 m turn left. After another 60 m come to the "Wickham Peak" (15 m on your right).
	Continue another 20 m to find the end. Then turn around here and retrace the main route for 1.4 km to get back to the start.
