Karlinyah Bidi, Wadjemup Bidi

Starting from the car park on Bovell Way, Rottnest Island, this walk takes you to Rocky Bay, visiting Catherine Bay, Stark Bay, City of York Bay and Little Armstrong Bay along the way. You can enjoy the unfolding sceneries to the west and panoramic views of Lake Baghdad as you continue alongside the coastal areas and enjoy the azure ocean on the northern side. The warm weather allows natural life to thrive, so expect to see many wildlife friends during your journey. In Stark Bay, you can take off your shoes and walk in the shallow inviting turquoise waters. You might want to bring sunscreen, hats and plenty of water as the track doesn't have much shade. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started
From the car park on Bovell Way (approximately 180 metres northeast of Little Parakeet Bay), walk towards the wooden “Kirlinyah Bidi” sign. Follow the dirt track as you leave the said sign behind to continue along Karlinyah Bidi, Wadjemup Bidi Track.....

	Start. After 190 m pass a seat (on your left).
	After another 145 m continue straight. After another 95 m continue straight.
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. This side trip takes you down to the Armstong Bay Sanctuary Zone (beach). Take care and heed the signs, the rock slopes are fragile. You'll need to do some clambering. To start this optional side trip veer right here. On returning from this side trip veer left when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 420 m continue straight. After another 210 m come to the viewpoint (20 m on your right).
	After another 130 m turn right. After another 5 m continue straight.
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. This little side trip takes you to Armstrong Point where you can get quite a panoramic view to the north. To start this optional side trip continue straight here. On returning from this side trip error >360 when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 125 m veer left.
	After another 470 m continue straight.
	After another 155 m veer right, to head along Bovell Highway.
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. This side trip takes you to Charlotte Point and back. You'll be able to view the City of York Bay and beyond from this viewpoint. To start this optional side trip continue straight here. On returning from this side trip error >360 when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 40 m continue straight, to head along Bovell Highway.
	After another 35 m (at the intersection of City of York Bay Road & Bovell Highway) veer right, to head along City of York Bay Road (a service road). After another 185 m pass the toilet (20 m on your left). After another 850 m continue straight.
	After another 190 m veer right.
	After another 40 m continue straight. After another 190 m continue straight.
	After another 410 m turn right, to head along Bovell Highway.
	After another 95 m turn right. After another 80 m pass the toilet (35 m on your left).
	After another 8 m turn right.
	After another 1.4 km continue straight.
	After another 145 m come to the end.

This side trip takes you down to the Armstong Bay Sanctuary Zone (beach). Take care and heed the signs, the rock slopes are fragile. You'll need to do some clambering.
