Pipeline Track to Silver Falls

Starting from Fern Tree Park off Huon Road, Wellington Park, this return track takes you to Silver Falls via the Pipeline and Silver Falls tracks. Grand tree ferns protecting you from the sun, the constant sound of water and the peaceful ambience make your way towards the cascade quite enjoyable. You'll pass by Fern Tree Bower on your way, which used to be a well-known picnic site. Read the interpretive signs if you're interested in the history of this place. Then you'll make it to Silver Falls, a pretty little waterfall marking the midpoint of your journey. You can explore further if you have the time or retrace your steps from here. Dogs are only allowed on the Pipeline Track. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Directions	From Davey Street, A6, South Hobart. Turn on to Davey Street, B64 then drive for 690 m At roundabout, take exit 2 onto Davey Street, B64 and drive for another 6.8 km

	At the intersection of Pipeline Track & Huon Road Start heading along Pipeline Track (a highway\|cycleway). There is a car park (about 15 m back from the start). Find the picnic table at the start. Find the BBQ at the start. Then head through the bicycle barrier. Then pass the "Fern Tree Playground" (25 m on your right). After another 25 m pass the shelter (10 m on your right). After another 7 m pass the toilet (4 m on your left).
	After another 610 m cross the bridge (about 20 m long) After another 2 m (Browns River picnic site) continue straight, to head along Silver Falls Track (a walking track).
	After another 235 m come to "Silver Falls". Turn around here and retrace the main route for 910 m to get back to the start.
