Mariner’s Cove

Starting from Darwin Terrace, Dudley Park, this circuit track gives you a tour of the picturesque Creery Wetlands, optionally visiting birdwatching spots along the way. Whether you're an avid birdwatcher or simply love immersing yourself in nature, Mandurah's wetland areas offer an enchanting environment to discover. Protected by secure gates to safeguard wildlife from predators, the Creery Wetlands boast two scenic boardwalks with informative panels, a viewing platform, and a bird hide, providing excellent opportunities to observe waterbirds in their natural habitat. The flat and sturdy pathway ensures a comfortable walk, with the option to return through the wetlands or follow the footpath back. Marvel at the diverse array of waterbirds, including migratory shorebirds, which flock to these wetlands alongside the native Quendas that call this reserve home. Complete your adventure with a visit to the nearby Mariners Cove Cafe, where restroom facilities are available. Let us begin by acknowledging the Pinjarup people, Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

	After another 15 m turn left. After another 140 m pass the BBQ (on your right). After another 60 m pass a seat (4 m on your left)., has a backrest. After another 70 m pass a seat (on your left)., has a backrest. Then pass the water tap (on your left). After another 30 m pass the "Nourishing The Soul Cafe" (35 m on your right). After another 75 m come to the "Viewing Platform" (on your right). Then head through/around the "Entrance to Reserve". Then pass the sign (on your left).
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. This side trip takes you to a bird watching platform via a boardwalk. To start this optional side trip turn right here. On returning from this side trip turn left when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 60 m turn left. After another 100 m pass the sign (on your right).

On returning from this side trip turn sharp right when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 335 m veer left. After another 300 m head through/around the "Entrance to Reserve".
	After another 15 m (from the Darwin Terrace) turn left, to head along Darwin Terrace (a residential road). After another 65 m (at the intersection of Darwin Terrace & Tadorna View) continue straight, to head along Darwin Terrace. After another 80 m (at the intersection of Darwin Terrace & Nankeen Approach) continue straight, to head along Darwin Terrace.
	Continue another 70 m to find from the Darwin Terrace at the end.

This side trip takes you to a bird watching platform via a boardwalk.

	Start. Find the sign at the start. After another 30 m cross the bridge (about 300 m long) Then pass the sign (on your left). After another 20 m pass a seat (on your left). After another 160 m pass a seat (on your left). After another 70 m come to a seat. "Bird Watching Platform".
	Continue another 0 m to find Bird Watching Platform at the end. Turn around and retrace your steps back the 335 m to the main route.

This side trip takes you to a bird hide.
