Greenes Falls

Starting from the Maiala Picnic Area off Mt. Glorious Road, Mount Glorious, this walk takes you to the Greenes Falls via the Rainforest Circuit and Greenes Falls tracks, exploring the dense forests of D'aguilar National Park. The journey towards the waterfall is filled with interesting wildlife and gorgeous trees, and the overall experience of being in a rainforest that feels ‘alive’ is well worth the time you’ll spend. You may come across pademelons carrying their cute little babies in their pouches, along with some wallabies and Australian logrunners. The peculiar sounds of eastern whipbirds and the mysterious-looking strangler figs make this a truly distinct walk. Come after some decent rainfall to see the cascades and the waterfall flow fiercely through this already beautiful environment. Remember to leave your pets at home. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started
From the end of the Maiala Picnic Area car park, head towards the low metal gate located along the bollard along the concrete path. Veer right near the gate to head along the narrow walking track near the tree at the end of the bollard. Follow the said track as it leads you into the woodland, and pass by a green “Rainforest Circuit” sign to your right. About 180 metres in(from the gate), veer left as you pass by a green directional signpost(to your right) to continue along Greenes Falls Track.....

	Start. There is a shelter (about 115 m back from the start). Then pass the toilet (100 m on your left).
	After another 770 m (at the intersection of Browns Road & Rainforest Circuit) veer left, to head along Greenes Falls Track. After another 90 m (at the intersection of Cypress Grove Track & Greenes Falls Track) continue straight, to head along Greenes Falls Track. Keep left.
	After another 80 m (at the intersection of Cypress Grove Track & Greenes Falls Track) turn sharp left, to head along Greenes Falls Track.
	Continue another 810 m to find the end. Then turn around here and retrace the main route for 1.7 km to get back to the start. "Greenes Falls". About 15 m past the end is a viewpoint.
