The walk from Leura Oval to Gladstone Rd is a fantastic way of exploring a small section of the Blue Mountains National Park. You will visit number of scenic spots including the Pool of Siloam and Golf Links Lookout. The cave, picnic area and waterfall at Lyrebird Dell make this a nice place to stop early in the walk. This walk is an excellent way to cross the valley. Let us begin by acknowledging the Dharug & Gundungurra people, Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Leura Oval is a large playing field found at the end of Lone Pine Ave, Leura. There is a large dirt car park, garbage bins, tap water and a toilet block (which maybe locked). The oval is used for a variety of sporting events and is also an off-leash dog area.

There is a toilet (about 30 m back from the start).
After another 115 m continue straight, to head along Lone Pine Avenue.
After another 4 m (at the intersection of Lone Pine Avenue & Lyrebird Dell Round Walk) turn left, to head along Lyrebird Dell Round Walk (a walking track).
After another 130 m find the "Lyrebird Dell" (on your left).

Lyrebird Dell is home to a sandstone cave beside the head waters of Gordon Creek near Lone Pine Ave, Leura. The cave provides shelter for a lovely picnic area (with a couple of tables). There is also a waterfall next to the cave. The cave at Lyrebird Dell, was used as an Aboriginal shelter from (at least) 12 000 years ago, this has been dated from artifacts found in the floor of the cave. Dell is an old English word that refers to small wooded valley. A great spot to rest and enjoy the area.

The Pool of Siloam is a lovely waterhole and waterfall on Gordon Creek in the Blue Mountains National Park. This waterfall is surrounded by a moss and fern filled gully with sandstone cliffs around the edges. There is a sandstone overhang next to the waterfall. The shallow sandy pool is a lovely cool place, a great spot to stop for a snack. The track crosses the creek using a bridge in front of the waterfall. The pool derives its name from the 'Pool of Siloam' (Birkhat Hashiloah - Hebrew) in the City of David and in the Bible is where Jesus sends a man to heal him of his blindness.

After another 350 m turn left, to head along Pool of Siloam Track.
After another 35 m come to the "Golf Links Lookout" (6 m on your right).
At the intersection of Grand Cliff Top Track & Pool of Siloam Track veer left, to head along Pool of Siloam Track.
Then come to the "Golf Links Lookout".

Golf Links Lookout is a fenced and signposted lookout in the Blue Mountains National Park, near Gladstone Rd Leura. The lookout has great views across the Jamison Valley to the back of the Three Sisters. To the left there is a good view along Narrow Neck and to Mount Solitary. There is no view of the nearby Gordon Falls.

Golf Links Lookout is a fenced and signposted lookout in the Blue Mountains National Park, near Gladstone Rd Leura.
