Getting started
From the very end of Berkeley Cl, Berowra Heights, start by following the concrete fire trail around the green metal national park gate to then continue downhill along the rough concrete trail.....

	Start. Find the gate at the start.
	After another 350 m (at the intersection of The Great North Walk & Berkeley Firetrail) continue straight, to head along Berkeley Firetrail. After another 380 m come to the "Barnett Lookout" (95 m on your left). After another 195 m find the "Naa Badu Lookout" (on your right). Naa Badu Lookout Naa Badu Lookout offers magnificent views south over Berowra Creek as well as over Sams and Calna Creeks. Naa Badu means 'See water' in the Aboriginal tribal language of the Dharug people. It is believed that Berowra Creek was the boundary between the Dharug and Guringai Aboriginal peoples. The lookout is fenced, has a bench seat, picnic table and a fair amount of natural shade. Then pass a seat (20 m on your right)., has a backrest. After another 8 m pass the sign (15 m on your right). After another 15 m pass the picnic table (15 m on your right).
	Continue straight, to head along Berkeley Firetrail.
	After another 245 m (at the intersection of Berkeley Firetrail & The Great North Walk) continue straight, to head along Berkeley Firetrail. After another 640 m cross the ford.
	After another 255 m (at the intersection of Berkeley Firetrail & Joalah Firetrail) continue straight, to head along Joalah Firetrail.
	After another 35 m continue straight, to head along Joalah Firetrail. After another 260 m head through/around the gate.
	After another 10 m (at the intersection of Joalah Crescent & Joalah Firetrail) turn left, to head along Joalah Crescent (a residential road). After another 50 m (at the intersection of Boronga Place & Joalah Crescent) continue straight, to head along Joalah Crescent.
	After another 115 m (at the intersection of Easton Road & Joalah Crescent) turn left, to head along Easton Road. After another 55 m (at the intersection of Easton Road & Baringa Street) continue straight, to head along Easton Road.
	After another 410 m (at the intersection of Easton Road & Wyanna Street) turn right, to head along Easton Road.
	After another 7 m continue straight, to head along Easton Road.
	After another 100 m (at the intersection of Barnetts Road & Easton Road) turn right, to head along Barnetts Road.
	After another 130 m (at the intersection of Barnetts Road & Berkeley Close) turn left, to head along Berkeley Close. After another 270 m pass the car park (270 m on your right).
	Continue straight, to head along Berkeley Close.
	After another 150 m (at the intersection of Clinton Close & Berkeley Close) continue straight, to head along Berkeley Close.
	After another 265 m come to the end.

  Surface and vegetation works will be carried out on the Simon Trail from Monday 28 April until Friday 6 June 2025, weather permitting.

  Closed areas: Partial closure of Great North Walk
  The section of the Great North Walk (Benowie walking track) between Crosslands, Hornsby and Tunks Ridge campground, Dural from Monday 12 May to Wednesday 28 May 2024. The track closure will allow Crown Lands to upgrade creek crossings within that section of the walk. The work will involve a helicopter lift on Tuesday 20 May. Penalties apply for non-compliance.   Safety alerts: Swimming safety in Berowra Valley National Park
  Swimming is not advisable in Berowra Creek at certain times as the water may be subject to variable pollution levels and algal blooms. Please refer to the Hornsby Shire Council website before swimming in Berowra Creek. Alternatively you can call the Hornsby Council 24 hour information line on 9847 6666 or the Algal information line on 1800 999 457.
  Swimming at Fishponds is not advised at any time due to heavy water pollution.
