Closed areas: Dorrigo Rainforest Centre Precinct closed
The Dorrigo Rainforest Centre and Canopy Cafe is closed Wed 21 May to Sunday 25 May due to widespread flooding and weather impacts. 
The closed areas are:

• Dorrigo Rainforest Information and Retail Centre
• Canopy Cafe

The precinct will re-open as soon as staff have had the opportunity to assess conditions.
Check Live Traffic NSW for up-to-date information and contact the local park office.
Remember, it’s never safe to drive, ride or walk through flood waters, so you’ll need to reschedule planned visits to parks and reserves and avoid unnecessary travel. For assistance during severe weather visit the NSW SES website. In life-threatening situations call emergency services on Triple Zero (000).

Closed parks: National parks closed due to impacts of severe weather
Many national parks and reserves in the Coffs Coast area are closed from 8am Thursday 22 May to 2pm Tuesday 27 May due to widespread flooding and weather impacts. Many creek crossings, roads and trails are impassable due to severe rainfall causing dangerous conditions. Emergency services are requesting that people avoid unnecessary travel.
Remember, it’s never safe to drive, ride or walk through flood waters. Roads into and throughout the park may also be closed. Check Live Traffic NSW for up-to-date information and contact the local park office.
Parks will re-open as soon as staff have had the opportunity to assess conditions.

Closed areas: Walking tracks closed due to damage caused by Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred
The following walking tracks are closed until 30 June 2025 due to extensive damage caused by ex-tropical cyclone Alfred:

• Parts of Wonga walk - Tristania Falls section (from Hardwood lookout to Tristania Falls)
• Red Cedar Falls walking track
• Slingsby trail and Syndicate Ridge track

Some sections of Wonga Walk remain open including:

• Lyrebird Link to the Glade
• The Glade to Crystal Showers Falls
• Crystal Showers Falls to Hardwood lookout

Closed areas: Parts of Never Never Picnic Area Closed
The following sections of Never Never Picnic area are closed from Sunday 9 February 2025 to Monday 28 July 2025:

• Southern end of Never Never picnic area
• Never Never picnic shelter
• Never Never picnic shelter carpark

Closed areas: Parts of Wonga Walk closed - Gondwanan circle to Tristania Falls and Tristania Falls area
The following sections of Wonga walk will be closed from 24 February 2025 to the end of July 2025 due to construction works:

• Access to Tristania Falls direct from Gondwanan Circle
• Tristania Falls

You can still access Wonga walk to Crystal Showers and Hardwood Lookout but must return back the same way.

Closed areas: Areas closed due to flood damage
Slingsbys trail is closed until further notice due to severe flooding causing damage to infrastructure (bridge).
The western part of Syndicate walking track is closed from Tuesday 16 January  2024 until further notice. NPWS staff are working to assess the damage and repair options. The area will reopen when safe.
