Mount Greville Circuit

Starting from Mount Greville Car Park on Mount Greville Road, Moogerah, this circuit walk takes you up to the summit of Mount Greville and the Slab Rock Lookout nearby, exploring two gorgeous gorges along the way. Mount Greville’s volcanic summit will welcome you after you make your way up the Palm Gorge. Take a break and enjoy the views as they are well-deserved after that demanding climb. Speaking of views, the Slab Rock will provide you spectacular ones over Lake Moogerah and Mount Edwards. Enjoy the interchanging vegetation as you go through both the gorges, and maybe take a stick(or bring proper hiking poles) from the ground to help you on the descent. Hiking shoes are recommended as there will be scrambling and loose rocks. The track gets slippery and dangerous when wet, so check the forecast beforehand to avoid injuries. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started
From Mount Greville Road(1.10km southeast of intersection with Moogerah Road), head towards the metal stile as you pass by the green “Moogerah Peaks National Parks” sign to your right. Head over the stile and continue on the fire trail as it leads you into the woodland. After about 310 metres(from the stile), veer left at the intersection and make your way towards Palm Gorge to continue along Mount Greville Circuit(clockwise). Avoid the pink tapes and hug the rock face whilst making your way from the peak to Slab Rock.....

	After another 360 m continue straight.
	After another 1.3 km turn left, to head along Palm Gorge Track.
	After another 160 m veer right, to head along Palm Gorge Track. Then come to the "Baby View" (30 m on your left).
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. The last stretch to the peak. To start this optional side trip continue straight here. On returning from this side trip turn left when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 360 m turn sharp right.
	After another 620 m turn sharp right, to head along Waterfall Gorge Track. Then come to the "Slab Rock" (45 m on your left). After another 1.3 km (at the intersection of Southeast Ridge Track & Waterfall Gorge Track) continue straight, to head along Waterfall Gorge Track.
	After another 235 m veer left.
	After another 360 m come to the end.

The last stretch to the peak.

	The end. A viewpoint. Turn around and retrace your steps back the 100 m to the main route.
