This short loop in Kosciuszko National Park takes you along the Yarrangobilly River, starting at the Glory Hole car park. On the way you'll pass the Thermal Pool (have a swim) and South Glory cave where you can take a self guided tour. Let us begin by acknowledging the Wiradjuri people, Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

  • Turn on to Caves Entrance Road then drive for 2.5 km
  • Turn sharp left onto Caves Entrance Road and drive for another 2.9 km
  • Turn sharp right and drive for another 20 m

Start.
Find the Self Guided Cave Car Park at the start.
After another 20 m (at the intersection of Cave Tour Loop Road & Leo Hoad Drive) veer right, to head along Cave Tour Loop Road (a vehicle track).
After another 20 m (at the intersection of Cave Tour Loop Road & Self Guided Cave Walk) turn right (a footpath).
After another 60 m come to the cave.
Then head through the tunnel (about 225 m long)
Then head through/around the gate.
After another 7 m come to the "South Glory Cave".
After another 45 m pass the "North Glory Cave" (25 m on your right).
Then pass the sign (70 m on your left).
Then pass the "Jersey Cave" (110 m on your right).
Then come to the viewpoint (125 m on your right).
Then pass the "Jersey Cave Car Park" (135 m on your right).
At the intersection of Self Guided Cave Walk & Castle Walk turn left, to head along Self Guided Cave Walk.
After another 155 m (at the intersection of Self Guided Cave Walk & River Walk) turn right, to head along River Walk.
After another 135 m cross the ford.
After another 930 m pass the sign (on your right).
Then pass the BBQ (on your left).
After another 75 m pass the picnic table (25 m on your left).
Then pass the toilet (55 m on your left).
Then pass the picnic table (60 m on your left).
At the intersection of Thermal Pool Trail & River Walk turn right, to head along Thermal Pool Trail (a vehicle track).
After another 60 m pass the sign (on your right).
At the intersection of Glory Hole Farm & Thermal Pool Trail turn left, to head along Thermal Pool Trail.
After another 50 m continue straight, to head along Thermal Pool Trail.
After another 95 m pass the water tap (65 m on your left).
After another 420 m pass the "Thermal Pool Car park" (185 m on your right).
Then pass a seat (7 m on your left).
After another 165 m head through/around the gate.
After another 9 m pass the sign (on your left).
Turn right, to head along Thermal Pool Trail.
After another 150 m (at the intersection of Caves Exit Road & Thermal Pool Trail) turn left, to head along Leo Hoad Drive.
After another 20 m veer left, to head along Leo Hoad Drive.
After another 20 m veer left, to head along Leo Hoad Drive.
After another 215 m pass the "Self Guided Cave Car Park" (215 m on your right).
After another 50 m (at the intersection of Leo Hoad Drive & Cave Tour Loop Road) continue straight (a service road).
After another 15 m come to the end.
