Camp Booties Recommendations?

I have been thinking of getting a pair of camp booties just to get out of the hike boots in camp, midnight wee etc. Going to England for a month so thought it an opportune time to get something to pack small. Ideally something light weight, compact and stand outdoor use, wet ground etc. Recommendations please?

I had a look at the S2S website, any good?

Hi Ken,

You can't go wrong with Crocs and socks, lightweight, durable and if its warm enough you can skip the socks. Cheap too if you buy one
of the knock-off brands but I find they don't last nearly as long as the originals

I second crocs, winter crocs with the liner if you can find them for the colder months

Yup..crocks and socks is the way i go too, so easy to slip on and off and their light weight. use light weight or wool socks. Other option is Neoprene Socks with the rubber soles maybe.

Generally great for hut duties, but can be slippery and wet around campsites.
Do consider slipping into some thick,dry socks, then into a couple of plastic bags, then back into your boots; especially if you need to go bush for a pee. Saves a bit of weight on extended trips. The S2S ones can really be quite slippery in certain circumstances and in nearly all, your feet will get wet.
Excellent, durable, foot-sized bags are the Ziplocks that have a sliding, red, plastic piece at the top.

I have a pair of Sea2Summit polarfleece booties with thin rubber soles - like these but with thinner polarfleece - they've been fine, though with the thin sole you need to be careful where you step. I tend to go barefoot a fair bit anyway so these keep my feet warm and dry. They wouldn't be much use at a really muddy or wet campsite, but I tend to wear my boots in those conditions anyway.

I like the idea of the down booties with a solid - ish sole. Not the down bed booties but those that can be taken outdoors 'cause they have a protective base.

I also endorse "crocs" & sox for general camp booties (and crocs are great for river crossings) but for snowy winter camps I use Featherd Friends down booties.
These are great as the inners can be worn in your sleeping bag at night and integrated with the outers as hut/camp booties

USA cottage manufacturer option is goosefeet. They make down socks and a waterproof outer sock for them aswell. No stiffness in the sole though. Very similar to the feathered friends ones.
