And some that hate the new lake on principle. I think the new lake is beautiful in its own right, but I agree with Dan about the sadness/eeriness to the feel of it - I think for me it is partly because it is so empty. It's the most beautiful, spectacular place, yet it just isn't appreciated or visited by many and it's so lonely. There is also the sadness about losing the original, I've always regretted being too young to have seen it, although would that have made it worse? I've watched the destruction of other wild places in Tassie. What's worse is that I read that they could have put in a canal through the hills instead of flooding the lake.ILUVSWTAS wrote:Good one Dan!
