TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Hi,

Not sure if you can get them in Australia. The women's version was recently on sale at Sierra Trading Post (US online store - very reliable with reasonable postage costs).

Great pack!

Cheers,

Bearing in mind they arent designed to carry more than 14kg (I think) and they dont like scrub too much.
But for the lightweighters im sure they are excellent!

Hi Hayley,

I have a brand new one for sale here in Oz - bought the wrong size mailorder from the US. Once i got the right size, I found it to be a great pack - light, comfy, and very flwxible in terms of the volume it can carry. My girlfirend has one too, and we've both carried about 13kg early on in a trip no worries.

THe pack I have for sale is a women's medium, purple, brand new - but the previous model without the hipbelt pockets.

Let me know if you're interested.

Hi Hayley,

From the GoLite website a medium should fit a torso length of 17 inches.

The new model has integrated hipbelt pockets - that's the main difference. There are cosmetic differences, and they say the back pocket on the newer model is bigger, but I would have to say not noticably - the pocket on the previous model is BIG! I think the water bottle side pockets are a different fabric on the older one too. And the pack colour is different - mine is purple! Same grid pattern on fabric, hip belt, sternum strap, same roll top fastening, similar back pocket, hydration sleeve inside. Only big difference is absence of hipbelt pockets (I use an after market one - Gossamer Gear). Makes a viable daypack on a walk by joining the "compaktor" clips at the bottom of the pack - very versatile.

Happy to email you some photos.
