Winter Buses/Car Shuffle to Overland

Postby sammydz » Mon 31 May, 2010 6:51 pm

Hi Ho,
We want to walk the Overland 27/6/10 - 3/7/10ish. Does anyone have info on buses or how to do a painless car shuffle?
Thanks! Clare & Sam

Sheesh. I'll be looking for the same car shuffle about 4 or 5 weeks after that. :(

Im also trying to sort it out for 22nd - 27th June. According to a forum member/ friend, Tigerline based in Devonport does pickups and dropoffs.
Yippee!

hi everyone.

i am planning to do the overland track from 24/6 - 29/6. However, i realised those coach companies listed in the website do not provide bus service on the 24/6 (thurs) for launceston to mt cradle. Anyone knows what other company i can look for.

thank you

It may be cheaper for you to fly into Devonport for this as they are based on the NW coast and so much quicker for you to get on the Mountain and start walking :)

Simon from tas tour company is a good bloke but have a look at Dennis Maxwells service http://maxwell-coaches.com.au/

Dennis may be a little expensive, but trust me, it is worth it just for the pleasure of meeting the man. He is a true local legend with many, many years experience in the Cradle/Lake St. Clair area.
