TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

I got a GSI steel cup, that fits perfectly onto the end of a nalgene bottle. Wonder why it took someone so long to invent something so obvious at space saving such as this cup! if only they make a titanium version... that would be awesome!

Also got that pinnacle dualist.

cant complain with them systems. i really like how the neoprene cover cup + lid fits into the bowl, which fits into the pot. everything is well thought out and well designed. The anodised surface makes it a breeze to clean, and much more user friendly than the traditional nonstick surface which peels off.
I also really like the GSI folding spoon that comes with it because it weighs only 8 grams, and quite easy to use and clean.

But i find it all a tad on the heavy side.
I would rather, recommend the msr Titan Kettle + GSI spoon, + the the collasible sea to summit x-mug to be used as a bowl. that fits into the titan kettle perfectly.

i use the GSI soloist - perfect for my use so far

i need to simmer my meals for a while (rehydrating food) and have read loads of reviews stating titanium doesnt allow an even heat distribution at the bottom of the pot so i opted for this aluminium pot and its been great for cooking as easy to clean

i like the bag that holds water if necessary

great handle on the pot

cup with neoprene sleeve thats sized so it fits inside but the lid to the pot can also fit on this (so my bog sauce stays warm while i cook the pasta)

overall good and so havent traded it in for something lighter

if you are only boiling water go the titanium
