That's a nice thought being able to help in a rescue.
Best I have done is help on some old pictures.
You would need really good sat images or have been to the place in question and taken lots of photos.

As for John's shot - it really looked like the edge - so maybe along a bit to Whymper Crags?

hmmm, my photos indicate you are further West than Hayes, And I'm not sure if there are any other places that offer that view of the Crossing River Valley other than Capella ...
Maybe you're above Lake Fortuna?

My very original thought was West of Hesperus.

There is a little side track that keeps going South t a view spot where the Moraine A climb track hangs a right hander to head East.

It looks to be east of the spot from where I took shots of those rocks, but not a long way east, and higher up. Which to me says Capella (I was circumnavigating Fortuna via the ridge). Angle looks wrong to be the ridge on the western side of Fortuna, and that isn't high enough anyway. Only other spot I can think of is on the ridge on the southern side of Cygnus, but again it doesn't look high enough.

And LISTMap seems to be down so I can't get in to have a proper look at the ridges around there ...

Those rocks are definitely part of the ridge circling Fortuna. Don't see how you would be able to see them from ZZ9PluralZAlpha.

eta: And now, looking at it again, I suppose it could be from further east.
