Large sleeping bag

I'm looking for suggestions for a large bag. I'm 6' and weigh 117kg. I really don't like my current bag - hate the Mummy shape for one and for 2 it makes a bucketload of noise when I shuffle about. The ones I've read up on are car-camping bags - one even weighs 11lb! Don't fancy carrying that. Any big guys share what they're happy with.? Thanks in advance.

Yeah Hoges I feel your pain. I am similar height and weight. Have gone for quilt, Enlightened Equipment Enigma; long, X wide -12 C, and so far have no problems. But depending on your needs, i.e. season use, type of sleeper etc it might not suit you. Undercling Mike makes v. good quilt gear as well. I am thinking of getting a Nunatuk Alpinist bag in *&%$#! large size as well for snow use. It looks really tempting!

What country are you in hoges?
If it's the USA and wa is Washington then your choices are very different and possible wider.
I'm regarded as a bit bigger than most and I have a similar problem but I prefer mummy bags when it gets cold.
What's your desired temperature range and your budget?

WA = West Australia. Doesn't get all that cold over here. I don't mind paying for good stuff. I checked the tip from the previous poster and the adjustable drawstring seems a great option.

Western Australia so not other country then.
I like the One Planet Cocoon in a Large and would buy one if and when I ever need a new sleeping bag

It is a very breathable shell fabric so it is for use in a tent or good shelter to keep the breeze off
Plenty of room for me and my wide shoulders without the expander wedge, but otherwise a quilt is a good enough option for non-freezing weather.
I've experienced temperatures well below freezing when I was living in The Alice and I understand outback WA can get pretty cold sometimes.
If you can sew a quilt is a good and relatively easy DIY option in synthetic APEX fro RipStopbytheRoll

Have you tried all the places in town xl sizes, semi rectangular shapes.

I'm 6'2", 115kg and never found a sleeping bag that was wide enough in the shoulders. I could get into the an XL bag but my shoulders would compress the fill, so I would get get cold around the shoulders. I'd have to sleep with a jacket on with the bag coming up under my arm pits. If you can find a 3/4 length bag, that could work.
I now have EE Revelation XWide and Long Quilts and can promise you they will fit. I would have preferred buying Mikes because I like to buy local but he didn't make them big enough back then. He does now so Mikes https://bushwalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=24995&start=360 or EE quilts will work
If you don't like the idea of a quilt, Mike may well make you a bag. Worth asking.

Last year Mike made me a wider full zip/no
