TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Why do we?

Wear identical mirror image gloves/mittens?
I've been thinking about this today after a PM about my deep cold mittens and looking through my stash.
I am right handed, and also I am one of those people being handicapped by being extremely right handed although my grip strength is much higher in my RH my dexterity is very poor.
I has occurred to me that by wearing hand coverings more appropriate to our usage and co-ordination that we might be able to be better served by our hand coverings.
Why don't I wear a thin 4 fingered glove on my ultra dominant RH and a simple mitten or a mutant on my LH?
Alternatively just add a very thin liner glove only to my dominant hand?
Ve are too soon old und too late schmart

No reason why not.

I do similar things but not as extreme, mainly for reasons to facilitate the dexterity of the dominant hand.

For me - not an issue. While I am largely left handed I do certain things as if right handed. In fact I have some difficulty separating left from right.

Probably because the primary reasons to choose one glove over another are things other than dexterity.

Eg you choose a glove mainly for its warmth / waterproofness / toughness / etc.
Dexterity comes further down the list.
Then, if the right glove meets the criteria best, you will then require the same criteria for the left glove.

Of course, I may be overthinking it!
