Sun Protection Sleeves?

Sun Protection Sleeves?

Hey guys,

Been recommended to use SP arms - Sun protection arm sleeves from a friend.

Anyone familiar with the brand?

Looks pretty decent, I think I will purchase them soon cause my arms are getting destroyed :(

Alternatively, you could make some sleeves from lightweight stretch fabric. I did this for cycling, makes them easy to put on and pull off. Only requires very basic sewing skills.
This makes me the first man to climb Mount Everest backwards, without oxygen...or even a jumper.

I have experience with using arm sleeves for both cycling and walking. When cycling air is moving over the sleeve as you ride providing a cooling effect. For walking, from my experience, I wouldn't bother as you need a strong wind to provide a comparative cooling effect. A long sleeve shirt will do the job and the sleeves can be rolled up if required.

If you go a shirt this works. Don't mind the arms too though- make sure they are at least 40UPF and hand coverage.

You have to ensure that the fabric is sun protective. Needs to have a UPF rating to be tightly woven.

Some Cancer Council shops also sell the protective sleeves. Certain health funds will reimburse the cost of sun protection items purchased from these shops - my partner's with AHM and has $250 per annum to spend on such items.

Work good for cycling, for walking or kayaking I just wear a SPF 50 lightweight Ling sleeved collard shirt and roll the sleeves up if I need to.

I have three dollar chinese ones, did get a cool feeling in wind.

It's the strange middle ground between wearing a tshirt or a shirt.

I'm still tempted to get some fancier ones, maybe Colombia.
