Were to get icebreaker thermals...

Hi all. After some advice vice where to buy icebreaker thermals. My wife lives in ballarat and shes over being cold so i want to get her some as a surprise. Is there any where in ballarat that sells them or an online store... quick shipping would be great as its not getting any warmer her in ballarat. Thanks.

I think Melbourne or online are your only options.
Bogong Equipment (bogong.com.au) have Icebreaker and will get stuff to you pretty quickly if you call and ask.

Why icebreaker in particular?
Uniqlo have great online service and my experience is that their product is as warm and as comfortable at a third the cost or less

I'd second the uniqlo recommendation. Have a look at the Heatech Extra Warm range. I have several and they are warm. And easily washable and good quality. I think they may actually be on a sale at the moment $15 - $20 for a long sleeved top or leggings. Order on line and it only takes a few days to get to Tas so it will be faster in Vic.

I saw some in the anaconda catalog but haven't heard of the brand Cederberg. Just wanting to get the warmest as it gets a bit fresh here in ballarat and im over getting cheaper clothing that doesn't keep you warm. I saw some reviews about icebreaker and will look at uniqlo to. Not to worried about price if the product is super good.
Have been watching life below zero on netfix for the last week which probably doesn't help. !!!

Pretty sure Cederberg is an Anaconda house brand, the more "upmarket" version. It is OK, I have a pair of their hiking trousers that do the job.

Ive got one cederberg polypro top. Its good, has a wide neck opening though. The Kathmandu polypro top is a tighter fit but seems a pinch thinner. Waiting on a uniqlo legs delivery in their 1.5 heatech.

If I remember correctly adventure camping Wangaratta has icebreaker thermals, although it may be a bit out of your way. However I highly recommend the Aldi thermals and so far their thermals seem warmer and much softer compared to my icebreaker gear.

In my experience, Icebreaker's thermals don't last anywhere near as well as many cheaper or lighter brands.
My Merino Skins thermals are still going strong after more than 10 years (except the one than got chewed by mice - long story). The Brubeck Extreme are fine except one tiny hole in the leggings (scoparia on a dawn photo wander, unmended for more than 5 years, hasn't grown). The Icebreaker top has frayed cuffs and neckline, split seams, worn through elbows, blah blah blah - despite never being worn in the bush.

They're more about the name recognition than value for money, imo. Nice colours though . . .
