I need the alter the angle of my pole joiners for the big tent from 90 inclusive to ~60 inclusive to give me the height I need and this should also make them stronger
I am going to make a quick jig from 90*45 timber and I'm having a little trouble deciding on how wide to make the top [ geometry was never my strong point] I need to leave enough space for the top section to move but not so much that it becomes too pointy as then the ridge pole may not fit properly
As I'm using hand saw to do the cutting this is going to be an approximate tool anyway
Any ideas?
\__o__/ reverse this and you have what I have assembled
Width across the top is ~270mm
Obviously I will need to soften the PVC while the poles are inserted or they will deform and become useless, so will petroleum jelly be good enough as a release agent just in case?
I think this is going to be a 3 or 4 person job as the poles are 3000 long
