Another name for a Thrush eh? Of course I googled that and found out that Turdus merula is also another name for the (common) Thrush.
Being somewhat juvenile I've spent a fair bit of time chuckling about it. Do you think Milne was perhaps a bit preoccupied with the whole poo thing?

C'mon olblackbilly, I bet you've even tangled with a drop bear or two in your time. If you see a heffalump don't shoot it, they are harmless unless cornered - I believe they are common in the midlands, South of the Line. On a misty night near Oatlands......

Think you need a license for Brushtail Possums but eating our trout

Possums sound easier than trout. They are often around when food is about .
If all else fails we are famous for roadkill---you shouldnt starve---bring some seasoning.

i dont think you need a licence to take eels, one eel can keep you going for a little while,....also mussels off the rocks if you are near the sea is quite acceptable.........

Yep, a bush pole is just a bush stick over 1 metre long with line tied on the end.
