TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Trekking Poles - Replacement Sections.

I have bent the bottom section of my BD pole and rather than replace the whole thing I was wondering if it's possible to buy just the section I need? The website says nothing about this however it seems logical. :?

You can get spare parts from the US site , I'll find you the link later on...

They are listed here :
http://www.blackdiamondequipment.com/en ... pare-parts
BD do not ship outside the US so you need to find a forwarder for this.

I had the same problem and mine has been given out for repair and it is due for collection early December. Remote Repairs in Melbourne they don't do it. They do only tent poles. There's a nice guy at Paddy on Little Bourke who was happy to arrange the service for me. His name is Michael.

Sorry Gusto, our material is different and our pole sections are different dimensions to the other main brands. We have replacement sections for our own poles on hand ("next day" delivery) but we don't have sections that suit other brands. Norm - Customer Service Helinox

Hi Lindsay,

Give Craig Steadman from http://alpine-edge.com a call/email. He was able to source the bottom section of a BD pole for me from the BD Rep in Perth. Great service and price, and it turned up the following day!

Cheers,

Daniel
