Directions	From Marsden Road, A6 Turn on to M2 Hills Motorway, M2 then drive for 35 m Turn left onto Pennant Hills Road Exit and drive for another 1.1 km Keep left and drive for another 660 m Turn right onto New Line Road and drive for another 400 m At roundabout, take exit 2 onto New Line Road and drive for another 1.4 km At roundabout, take exit 2 onto Boundary Road and drive for another 250 m Keep left and drive for another 450 m At roundabout, take exit 1 onto Macquarie Drive and drive for another 920 m At roundabout, take exit 2 onto Shepherds Drive and drive for another 300 m Turn right onto Blackwattle Place and drive for another 430 m

Getting started
From the intersection behind the gate at the end of Blackwattle Place, the walk follows the management trail steeply downhill to cross the concrete causeway. The track then meanders along before coming to the intersection with another management trail (which goes steeply down the hill on the right).....

	After another 220 m (from the Blackwattle Trail) turn right.
	After another 60 m (from the McKinley Firetrail) turn right, to head along McKinley Firetrail.
	After another 40 m (at the intersection of McKinley Firetrail & Benowie Walking Track) continue straight, to head along Benowie Walking Track. After another 195 m cross the stepping stones.
	After another 25 m (at the intersection of Benowie Walking Track & Blackwattle Trail) turn right (a walking track). After another 45 m (from the Blackwattle Trail) continue straight, to head along Blackwattle Trail (a vehicle track).
	After another 15 m come to the end.

- Berowra Valley National Park alerts
  Closed areas: Partial closure of Great North Walk
  The section of the Great North Walk (Benowie walking track) between Crosslands, Hornsby and Tunks Ridge campground, Dural from Monday 12 May to Thursday 22 May 2024. The track closure will allow Crown Lands to upgrade creek crossings within that section of the walk. The work will involve a helicopter lift on Tuesday 20 May. Penalties apply for non-compliance.   Closed areas: Simon Trail Maintenance
  Surface and vegetation works will be carried out on the Simon Trail from Monday 28 April until Friday 23 May 2025, weather permitting.

  Safety alerts: Swimming safety in Berowra Valley National Park
  Swimming is not advisable in Berowra Creek at certain times as the water may be subject to variable pollution levels and algal blooms. Please refer to the Hornsby Shire Council website before swimming in Berowra Creek. Alternatively you can call the Hornsby Council 24 hour information line on 9847 6666 or the Algal information line on 1800 999 457.
  Swimming at Fishponds is not advised at any time due to heavy water pollution.
