Elouera Lookout

A short walk to a beautiful lookout with views over the Berowra Creek valley, near Westleigh. This is a short and interesting walk to one on those really beautiful pockets of bush in the middle of the suburbs. The lookout is in the Berowra Valley Regional Park and also on the Great North Walk. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Directions	From Turn on to Pennant Hills Road, A28 then drive for 40 m Turn left onto Duffy Avenue and drive for another 540 m At roundabout, take exit 2 onto Duffy Avenue and drive for another 740 m At roundabout, take exit 2 onto Duffy Avenue and drive for another 600 m Turn right onto Elouera Road and drive for another 490 m Turn left and drive for another 4 m

Getting started
From the bend in Elouera Rd (beside 49 Elouera Rd), the walk follows the 'Great North Walk' arrow, passing around a gate and down the driveway. At the fenced off old building, the walk follows the red 'Great North Walk' track marker to the left, onto the bush track, keeping the fenced area on the right. The walk bends to the left again at the end of the fenced area (marked with another red GNW marker) and follows the bush track until reaching an intersection, with the main Great North Walk, at the top of a fenced lookout point.....

Elouera Lookout
This fenced lookout is on the Benowie Track close to Westleigh. There are uninterrupted views from the clifftop across the Berowra Creek valley, which is rare for the area. As well as being on the Great North Walk, this lookout can be accessed by a short walk from Elouera Rd, Westleigh. This section of fenced rock platform is about 100m long, and there is some limited shade from the casuarina near the lookout if you want to take a rest.
