Yul-Yan-Man to Trachyte

Starting from the car park at the end of Mount Beerburrum Access Road, Beerburrum, this walk takes you up and down through the hills and woodlands of Glass House Mountains National Track, visiting Jack Ferris Lookout and crossing Tibrogargan Creek along the way. It ends at the car park off Barrs Road, near Mount Tibberoowuccum. You’ll feel like you’re doing a mini version of a journey in the middle ages as you’re climbing up and down multiple hills. As they did back in the day, start the walk at sunrise to enjoy the peace and serenity of being in nature. You’ll be rewarded by panoramic views of the Glass House Mountains and beyond throughout the track. Keep an eye out for good-looking yellow-tailed black cockatoos along with other birds. Remember to wear grippy shoes to be safe and better enjoy the trip. Look out for the little pink triangle markers for guidance. Can also be done in reverse. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started
From the car park at the end of Mount Beerburrum Access Road, head towards the roofed informational signpost(next to a bench) gently uphill along the dirt path. Pass by the said signpost and another green directional signpost to find yourself at an intersection. Turn right here and keep left after a few metres to follow the Yul-Yan-Man Track. Stay on the said track as you move past Mount Beerburrum(to your left) to continue along Yul-Yan-Man to Trachyte Track.....

This little side trip takes you to the Jack Ferris Lookout. Good place to take a break and admire the views.

	Start heading along Mount Beerburrum Walking Track.
	After another 15 m (at the intersection of Yul-yun-man Track & Mount Beerburrum Walking Track) turn right, to head along Yul-yun-man Track (a walking track). After another 7 m continue straight, to head along Yul-yun-man Track. Keep left. After another 10 m pass the sign (on your left). Then pass a seat (10 m on your left)., has a backrest.
	After another 3.6 km (at the intersection of Trachyte Circuit & Yul-yun-man Track) veer left, to head along Trachyte Circuit.
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. This little side trip takes you to the Jack Ferris Lookout. Good place to take a break and admire the views. To start this optional side trip continue straight here. On returning from this side trip turn right when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 260 m turn left, to head along Trachyte Circuit. After another 530 m (at the intersection of Trachyte Circuit & Caves Road) continue straight, to head along Trachyte Circuit.
	After another 240 m continue straight, to head along Trachyte Circuit. After another 190 m continue straight, to head along Trachyte Circuit. After another 180 m continue straight, to head along Trachyte Circuit.
	After another 630 m turn left. After another 20 m pass the toilet (9 m on your right).
	After another 8 m come to the end.
	Start.
	After another 90 m come to the end. "Jack Ferris Lookout". Turn around and retrace your steps back the 90 m to the main route.
