Walk this circuit walk in New England National Park through World Heritage rainforest to Eagles Nest Lookout and Platypus Valley Lookouts for stunning views of the area. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Turn on to Point Lookout Road then drive for 9.7 km
Keep left onto Point Lookout Road and drive for another 5.2 km

At the intersection of Point Lookout Circuit & Point Lookout Road Start heading along Point Lookout Circuit (a footpath).
After 150 m come to the "Point Lookout".
After another 70 m come to the "Second Lookout" (about 20 m ahead).
Turn sharp left, to head along Point Lookout Circuit.
The starting point of an optional sidetrip. This side trip takes you to the Point Lookout summit. To start this optional side trip continue straight here. On returning from this side trip error >360 when you get back to this intersection. Details below.
After another 45 m (at the intersection of Eagles Nest Track & Point Lookout Circuit) turn right, to head along Eagles Nest Track (a walking track).
After another 100 m turn left, to head along Eagles Nest Track.
After another 500 m come to the "Eagles Nest Lookout" (10 m on your left).
Continue straight, to head along Eagles Nest Track.
After another 350 m continue straight, to head along Eagles Nest Track.
After another 360 m come to the "Platypus Valley Lookout" (8 m on your right).
After another 10 m (at the intersection of Eagles Nest Track & Lyrebird Walk) turn right, to head along Eagles Nest Track.
After another 60 m (at the intersection of Eagles Nest Track & Lyrebird Walk) turn sharp right, to head along Eagles Nest Track.
After another 205 m turn left, to head along Eagles Nest Track.
After another 165 m veer left, to head along Eagles Nest Track.
Then come to the "Platypus Valley Lookout" (9 m on your right).
After another 25 m continue straight, to head along Eagles Nest Track.
After another 345 m pass the toilet (on your right).
After another 8 m (at the intersection of Point Lookout Road & Eagles Nest Track) turn right, to head along Point Lookout Road (a highway|tertiary).
After another 35 m (at the intersection of Point Lookout Road & Point Lookout Circuit) continue straight, to head along Point Lookout Road.
Continue another 25 m to find at the intersection of Point Lookout Road & Point Lookout Circuit at the end.
This side trip takes you to the Point Lookout summit.
