Shepherd's Lookout

Starting from Stockdill Drive, ACT, this walk takes you to Shepherd’s Lookout via a walking track of the same name, then loops back. Since it’s quite short and sweet, this peaceful stroll can make for a great family trip, including your dog. When you’re at the lookout, expect a panoramic view over the Murrumbidgee River and the green hills of Woodstock Nature Reserve. As you take in the scenery, try to keep an eye out for Yellow-tailed black cockatoos and other birds. After you make sure you got enough of that view, make your back through the woodland to squeeze out more out of this track. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started
From Stockdill Drive(2.14km southwest of intersection with Pro Hart Avenue), head towards the car park that’s closed off by boulders along the pavement, moving directly away from the main road. Pass through the 2 lines of boulders serving as bollards and join the narrow concrete track, heading directly away from the road. Follow the walking track straight into the woodland to continue along Shepherd’s Lookout Track.....

	After another 45 m (from the Shepherd's Lookout walking track) continue straight, to head along Shepherd's Lookout walking track. After another 70 m pass the sign (7 m on your right).
	After another 290 m (from the Shepherd's Lookout walking track) veer right, to head along Shepherd's Lookout walking track. After another 50 m pass the sign (on your left). After another 250 m to find the car park.
	After another 10 m come to the end.
