Thanks for the comments everyone.
Ha not yet, maybe one day though!
I didn't know that there used to be a stove in the hut, but no they haven't replaced it. Yeah it was a little cool overnight, probably the first time I've actually slept in my sleeping bag the entire night and not been roasting. The water I had melted for drinking partially froze and turned into a slush as well, so must have been reasonably cool overnight. Daytime temps were fantastic though, quite hot on the Saturday out of the wind around Tarn Shelf.

Love the sunset contrast in the first picture. I can't seem to get a decent sunrise or sunset on any walk this year!

Thanks Shazcol. That's a bit of a bugger and can be a little frustrating can't it!! I must say I have been quite lucky of late, that when I have headed out with the camera, I've had at least one great sunrise or sunset to work with!

Sharon liked the black and white photo's as well. You had much more snow than we had by the looks of it.

There goes July

Ha knowing me I'll probably forget to enter one anyway! It has been a good month for winter photos though so I'd be surprised if it's not a tough comp this month!!

that's cool seeing the sunset and sunrise at the same place.

Never mind the stove, have they replaced the tank? It was rusting out last time I was there, and the water was revolting.

I don't recall seeing a tank at the hut, but then I wasn't really looking for one. I'll have to check a couple of photos with the hut in it!!

Grand photos Michael,
I always look forward to seeing your stuff.
Re water tank and stove, last time I was there sometime earlier in the year, the stove was gone as was the water tank.
Cheers
Andrew

It's pretty obvious - rear corner, K Col side. You can see it from the approach if it's still there.
*shudder* I still gag at the thought of the oily scum floating on the top . . .
