In the Arthurs? Possibly on the side of Hesperus?
Thu 16 Nov, 2023 3:30 pm
I am in the Arthurs.
I am not on the side of Hesperus.
I couldn't even see the side of Hesperus from where I was standing.

I'm thinking you're looking at Mt Picked On so you'd be somewhere in the Eastern Arthurs. Boiler Plates?

Good theory,
That is Mounty Picked-On, but I'm not on the Boiler plates. (Nor in the EA's)
Fixed typo.

Above Sirona?
Thu 16 Nov, 2023 8:56 pm
Can't be sirona because he isn't in the wa's...
That angle on riveaux, hmm is it from bechervaise plateau?
Thu 16 Nov, 2023 9:28 pm
Whoopies, typo, I'm not in the Eastern Arthurs.
I not at sirona, but there is a planetary lake just over the ridge on the right, about 300m from me.
Thu 16 Nov, 2023 9:37 pm
Haha yeh thought that might have happened, went fishing for clarification.

Got to be high moor right?
Fri 17 Nov, 2023 7:43 am
Not High Moor
Summary of clues:
I'm within 300m of a names planet-lake.
The Massif in the back is Picton.
The tiny finger on the left poking up behind the Massif is Riveraux.
I'm In in the Arthur Ranges
I'm not on the EAs, High Moor, Becherviase Plateau, Boiler Plates
I'm not near Sirona.

it's possible you are on the Phoenix, near lake Venus?

Nice!
I'm at the saddle just north of the Phoenix.
That little plateau just east of it would make a great little campsite, though wouldn't be the most protected from the weather.

Incorrect

The only other narrow, clear ridge like that I can think of is Wylly Plateau connection to Victoria Cross, but there's no lake beyond that.
Unless you're on La Perouse looking back at Pigsty?
Fri 17 Nov, 2023 5:59 pm
still incorrect but closer
Fri 17 Nov, 2023 6:36 pm
Is that Ooze Lake? Maybe from Maxwell Ridge or there about?
Fri 17 Nov, 2023 7:30 pm
Or contouring Mt Victoria Cross before the climb up it?
Fri 17 Nov, 2023 9:13 pm
No and no.
