I've love to get my hands on a copy of this book:

Rare and out of print. You could do an Interstate loan from Leigh Creek Library, if it hasn't been nicked. I do Interstates for $16.50/bk in SA. Might be cheaper or free where you are. I looked this up on Trove ( Nat.Library of Aust )
You probably know that John Chapman includes the Gammon Ranges circuit in the SA chapter of his list/book of Australias best bushwalks. Not sure of title. Be sure to check his Updates page online as well.
