Mon 14 Aug, 2023 2:16 pm
Yes - K-Col hut is in view - and given that required some skill - I was near the Watcher and letstryagain can go next.

Thankyou eggs. Beautiful spot that.
I don't have many photos, but here's something a bit different.

Hi Graham
Yes that's correct.
Wed 16 Aug, 2023 8:28 am
Thank you. I haven’t been there for about 35 years.
Where was I sitting for this one?

That is the summit cairn on Snowy South (well, I have a big picture of it on the wall, so ...). Looking West to the Anne Range.

Of course you’re right.

The trig looks a bit like Maurice. The hills behind? Nope.
Wed 16 Aug, 2023 7:31 pm
Long, loooooooong way from Maurice. Not an Abel.

That looks coastal. Are you somewhere on the Three Capes track?
Mt Brown?

It is.

No, although it was sort of supposed to be.
Mt Brown?
That's the one.

Apart from the “maybe” you are spot on, John.

Thanks Graham. I was reasonably sure, but on my only trip to Projection I didn't walk that far across it.

Yes teak, in extremely blustery conditions. The wind actually face planted me into the ground immediately I arrived on that little plateau.
There is some sort of weird weather phenomenon that happens up there.

Good place for yoga.
Sun 20 Aug, 2023 6:05 pm
If you overdo it it could be Lake Thor but I think you may be referring to Stretcher lake?
Sun 20 Aug, 2023 7:49 pm
Well done, Last. The best I could come up with was Downward Dog Lake

, or Serenity Sound - and nope, that's not the Franklin River.

Phew. I thought this was going to hang round for the whole week.
Yes, a short little toddle from the track if you do it the easy way, although I may have done a bit of wandering around before and after. Good little tent site as well, except for the firepit.

Firepit? Has Rob Parsons been there? Next
