Is this from the overland track as it passes under Cradle - probably just a bit south of where the Little Plateau abuts.

It's the flat clear area on the OLT at the head of Fury River where camping is no longer allowed.

Ahhhh, goodie. I knew there'd be a keen Abelist who'd recognise it.
Neat little spot, really. Wonder how far the the old walking track along the river used to go.

Maybe we should make a "Where am I? Picnic Grounds" variant. Yeah, lovely little spot. I've had a few memorable stays there.

A day with no guesses, so I'll give a hint.

This is just off the track of a very popular waterfall based day walk. About 2 minutes before taking this photo I crossed a substantial foot bridge.

That’s a great spot that seems a lot more remote than it really is.
I’m on the Mainland at the moment but just before I came I climbed this mountain. What’s its name?

From Mawson it’s south.
In fact it doesn’t matter where you are, it’s South.
