Are you near Clumner Bluff?
Wed 18 May, 2022 11:15 am
I think a lake is just visible and a waterfall at back - maybe Feather Falls

Only if 'near'' means in the same NP.

And I think someone knows where I am.

Presumably that is next to Junction Lake.
But having not got there last trip

, I do wonder what quick and easy vantage points near Junction give full views of Feather Falls?
PS - some nice fagus on the tops

From fairly close to the campsite, actually, which is a good one. At this stage I was just pottering around the lake with camera and tripod.
Fagus always seems to turn later in that part of the Walls - Moses Ck, Chapter, Cloister, Clarke Falls, etc. Oh, and Ball, too.

It’s a very long time since I went to Weld River Arch and I remember it as being wider than what’s in your picture. However, is that it?

I believe getting to the Weld River Arch is probably well beyond me.
This is more touristy.

eggs has been Tarkineing. That's Trowutta.
How high was the water? It's a fascinating sinkhole.

Yes - it was time to visit the Tarkine after all these years.
I have no idea how the water level varies, but looking at some online pics I think it was quite low.
It looked big and green enough.

I was once there when the water was within half a metre of the track. It would be a fantastic dive.
Worth wanderiing aroound the back of it, too. And over the Arch itself.
Anyways, where did I camp this lovely evening?
