Tasmania Police advise motorists of the following road weather alerts;
The North West Coast, Western, Central Plateau and Upper Derwent Valley has experienced snow covered roads with snowfalls to 300 to 400 metres making driving
conditions dangerous during Sunday.
ROADS CLOSED
Lyell Highway – Road Closed between Wayatinah and the Queenstown. Only open to motorists with 4WDs and chains.

LAKE ST CLAIR TOURIST ROAD
Pinnacle Road Mt Wellington – Gate Closure at Bracken Lane
Poatina Road between Poatina Village and Highland Lakes Road is CLOSED due to ice and snow.

Highland Lakes Road – EXTREME CAUTION FOR SLIPPER CONDITIONS HUNTERSTON TO MIENA
14 Mile Road, Tarraleah to Tungatina – 4×4 with chains only.
