Snowy North

Hi All,

Went for a wander up Snowy North yesterday, a great day, many thanks to Rachel and Mark,

After a few anxious moments discussing the start point we headed off.
It was a nice walk through lovely open sassafras forest followed by a delightful stand of pandani then a fairly steep but short-ish climb through mixed scrub and then nice open walking to the summit with great 360 degree views.
Views from Bruny Island - Snowy Range - bits of E. Arthurs - the entire W. Arthurs - Anne Range - Jubilee Range - thru to Frenchmans, The Dennisons, Spires, King Williams & many more to Mt Field & the Wellington Range.

Great walk with good company in excellent weather.

Here's a pano that covers over 180 degrees view from summit

Cheers

Hmmm No need for me to post a trip report :) Well done Dan!! It was a great day out to a very nice summit!!

We did Dry's Bluff today, got to the real summit, it was a good walk!! Nowhere near as hard as the Ables book suggests but fairly steep! GREAT views. I might post some pics later!!
