Thanks to the wealth of photographic talent amongst the members here, we have been able to put together a fantastic calendar for 2010. The Bushwalk Tasmania Calendar for 2010 is available NOW!
CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE THE CALENDARPayment can be made directly to the printer/distributor, using the link above, by either credit card or PayPal. The calendars are being sold at cost price (ie, no profit for Bushwalk Tasmania).
The standard price from the printer/distributor (RedBubble) is $22.00 each, with shipping being $6.12 (for one).
So the
total price for a single calendar, delivered, is: $28.12.
Shipping is cheaper for multiple purchases, of course.
Thanks very much to the the photographers who've contributed amazing pictures to the photo competitions here. The photos used in the calendar have all been winners of these competitions.
A preview of each page of the calendar is below.
Note:- the old early-bird price of $27, including shipping and handling, has expired and no longer applies
- the 2010 calendar does not have USA holidays on it as the 2009 calendar did last year

Hi Nik,
can't see the detail from the .jpg, but was wondering if the public holidays etc are still US rather than Australian?
LOVE the pics!
Mon 28 Sep, 2009 9:51 am
No, there are definitely not USA holidays on it this time (there are no holidays on it at all, actually).
Mon 28 Sep, 2009 1:34 pm
I like to say a huge thanks to Nik for putting this together. It looks great, and I've already ordered mine

I'm absolutely stoked to have a photo of mine included alongside the amazing shots from the people out there with genuine photographic skill! Seriously, the photo competition and the calendar is an incentive to get out there taking photos, and, for me, to try and improve the quality of my shots. I've learned heaps from the photos and the helpful advice of the good folks on BWT and I hope to keep on improving.
Cheers,
Alliecat

And anyone who has a Photo in it should be proud as they are all fantastic photos, actually thankyou to every contributor on this forum!
P.S. Like us Bushwalkers don't have the public holidays booked out in advance anyway!

Is too late to order? I did forget.

Well after several delays for a variety of reasons (the greatest of which was a logo design change where it took a few weeks to confirm if it was going ahead or not),
the calendars are finally in the mail on their way to you!
Sorry for being a few weeks later than originally anticipated, but I hope that you'll find the wait is worth it. In any case, you should find out in a few days time. Look out for a large padded post pack with a bushwalk tasmania logo sticker on it.

(or more likely a card from the post office saying you've got a parcel waiting for you - unless you've got a very large letterbox). I've got mine on my wall already (behind this year's) and I think the calendar is top-quality and looks fantastic.
Feel free to keep putting in more orders. The calendar will continue to be available for some time to come.
Fri 27 Nov, 2009 9:08 am
can't wait to get it!

Hi
Calendar arrived and looks good so now sourcing a nail for a wall in the office to hang it from. Congratulations to BWT (BW?) team for putting it together and individual photographers. Some serious talent out there so keep up the great work.
Cheers Brett
Does the Bird River have two names or is my office college getting confused (Brid River)?

Bird River, Tasmania, in the southwest, can be found with a number of google hits including being referenced to the Mt McCall 4WD track on the Parks site, unlike the Brid River which I think is near Bridport.
Hope that helps.

Calendar arrived yesterday. Congrats on the hard work and final result, very happy with it here.
Sun 29 Nov, 2009 7:51 am
Yes, as Brett said... Thanks again to the photographers for entering the competitions and allowing us to use your photos like this. And of course congratulations to those who won and had their photo(s) included in the calendar!

Got mine in the post on Friday. Should look great on the wall

Please note that you can now buy the calendar directly from the printers (RedBubble) for marginally more than the price of the initial bulk purchase. This change makes sure that I don't make a loss on subsequent orders (which are more expensive than the initial bulk orders), and to avoid the hassle of dealing with each persons order individually myself, and letting them control their own shopping and shipping directly. There is zero markup on these calendars above the printers price, so they are at cost price as far as Bushwalk Tasmania is concerned.
CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE THE CALENDARThe price from the printer/distributor, RedBubble, is $22.00, with shipping for a single calendar being $6.12, so the total price for a single calendar to your door is: $28.12. Shipping is cheaper for multiple purchases, of course.
(The original post in this topic has been updated to reflect this change).

3 arrived today, all undamaged and looks luverly!
X-mas presents for the in-laws and the traditional x-mas calender for Mum sorted the last one to provide some inspiration for the smallest room in the house
Well done to all BWT contributors, a lot of great shots didn't make it.
Mon 30 Nov, 2009 7:44 pm
Got mine today!!!! Now, just who
is that dork on top of PB?
Tue 01 Dec, 2009 8:20 pm
Got my three today. Nicely done and an improvement from last year. There can be a big difference between what you see on a computer screen and how something actually prints so it is nice to see a professional looking product.
One question: How come the 2010 November picture looks very similar to the 2009 December picture?

MJD wrote:One question: How come the 2010 November picture looks very similar to the 2009 December picture?

Good question. Sounds like I stuffed up. In which case sorry for the repeat of one picture to those who got both calendars. My copy of the previous calendar was only a draft so I didn't have the final pictures on the last two months on my copy. I hope this doesn't trouble anyone too much, but I'm sorry for the repeat.
I'll take note to be more careful next year. At least my draft has all the final pictures on it this year. Just a different logo.
It's worth noting that the preview of all the calendar pictures has been available in this topic for a long time, so I hope everyone was happy with the pictures
before buying the calendar (as well as afterwards, of course).

When I discussed the November image with Tasadam, I gave him the choice of using the picture that won the November competition last year (which was his), or the photo that won the photo of the year competition (also his), on the grounds that the photo of the year competition really deserves to be in a calendar, and it would be a shame if it missed out on being in any calendar all together. As MJD pointed out... it already had been in the previous calendar, but I didn't notice (due to the reason I gave above), and Tasadam probably didn't realise because I had effectively told him (by implication) that it wasn't in the previous one. Oops - my fault that one.
So I hope that everyone who bought both calendars likes that picture a lot (I do). At least you had the preview to check out anyhow, so I assume you all liked that picture a lot too.

If anyone is genuinely upset about this, please let me know.
Tue 01 Dec, 2009 11:22 pm
I'm sure Tasadam is laughing - the duplicate is his photo of the year. It will look a bit suspicious if it reappears next year.
Wed 02 Dec, 2009 5:54 am
No, not laughing, more embarrassed than anything. When Nik asked me to use that image I didn't have a problem with it. But I too overlooked the fact that it was in the previous calendar.
Sorry everyone.
Guaranteed not to be in the next calendar we put together.

Thanks to frank_in_oz for some calendar publicity this morning on his
popular and well respected bushwalking & hiking blog.

Mine arrived yesterday. Looks great, and much chunkier than last year. I'll need to get a bigger hook to hang it on
