I hate it when you get a new tent or some other type of equipment that after you get it out, you cant fit it back into the bag it came with. . (My old cheap tent)

this bugs me too. Worse one is the big 6 person I got a while back. Nice and compact but I cant get it back to less than double its packed size for who knows what reason. Lucky I never have to carry it though.
other dislikes? Realising how unfit I am as im lying down next to the track dying to catch my breathe while some smartarse just runs past up the hill :)

Leaving the picking of a cat hole site for too long. That results in too many compromises in view, comfort and weather as time and sensitive environments take precedent.
Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful.

Neat tidy hikers. When it's not raining, you should have nearly all your pack contents spread around your tent site! When it's up everything is away where it should be and all is looking good.

Not pulling out only what is required for the next stage in tent erecting like the super anal freak you are. Then having the temerity to tell your friends loudly 'mmm you can tell the good campers just by watching them set up'while looking at me with disdain. I had the last laugh the next morning *&%$#! *&%$#! anal freak, I'm sorry I wasn't a bigger person when I told you that 'I might be a bit messy setting up, but at least my tent is still standing'.

Tight *&%$#! hikers. When an over nighter is talking to a week long hiker and they pull out a packet of Timtams, the big one with like thirty in it not the small five packet one, and eat the whole *&%$#! packet in one hit without even being polite enough to offer at least one *&%$#! stinking bikky. I'm proud of myself that I showed restraint and didn't act on any of the thoughts that were going through my head!
Cheers Walkon

For car camping - I have a great self-inflating sleeping mat but it's almost impossible to get the air out of it and roll up, let alone get it back in the bag it came in.

For bushwalking - carrying extra clothes etc just in case but you don't use them.

You need a little 12volt vacuum cleaner to suck it out.

I hate it when I ask someone on the trail walking in the opposite direction how much further something is and they nearly always say it is much closer than it really is.

Walkon you need to worry less about other people and more about yourself!

And since when did we have "hikers" in Australia? Sounds like an invasive species!

Because bushwalking did not fit in the box. Have tried to change it just for you.

French backpackers who refuse to give way and instead try and outpace you because they think you're going to go all Wolf Creek on them

Haha. I can vouch for that, Frenchies walk too quickly on tracks. Especially on the way down, and although I'm French, it's one of the things I hate. Someone breathing down my neck on the way down. But then I hate the Aussie habit of talking non stop during a walk, generally quite loudly.

I also hate junctions with no signs and that aren't on any map, and finally I hate walking tracks that are also used by 4x4s.

Sorry. I was having a bit of a rant after camping next to some French walkers on the South Coast Track last summer leaving a negative impression, which was added to by comments from the PWS volunteers at Cockle Creek.

I have nothing against French backpackers in particular, but it was easier than sayin "non english speaking backpackers whose native language I understand enough of to know what they are talking about".

Dogs in Conservation parks. There are plenty of forests where they are allowed - although if they are going to bail me up I want them leashed. (
Cyclists on walk trails, particularly long distance trails, managed often with difficulty by local volunteers and then torn up by hoons on bikes. Again, plenty of dual -use and cycle trails. Particular loathing when its wet and the trails is easily damaged.
People camping at the lookout that is the goal of that walk! I used to politely turn around within 20 metres of my destination - now I go through the camp if I must.
Litterbugs.
Whingers - whooops, that would be me :)

Add people that don't give way to uphill traffic on steep hills. Particularly when I'm carrying my son + pack + gear = 20Kg. *&^%$#@!.
