I did Hinchinbrook with the missus the week after Easter.
What a great walk. We spent 5 days/4 nights on the island taking it easy.
Day 1 - Ramsay bay to Little Ramsay bay. Nice walking, with a detour to the top of Nina peak to check out the Thumb.
Day 2 - Chill out at Little Ramsay, swimming etc. We took a walk to have a look at camping in Banksia bay but the lack of fresh water turned us off. Spent a second night at Little Ramsay.
Day 3 - Little Ramsay to Zoe Bay. It poured all day, and it was miserable, type 2 fun. Leg of the track is through mostly rainforest, so it's humid and wet and full lawyer cane, with numerous creek crossings. We gave up trying to keep the feet dry and had wet boots for the rest of the trip.
Day 4 - Zoe to Mulligan falls. This was my favourite part of the walk, through open tracks and rock hopping across the top of Zoe falls. It turns out trekking poles float, and it was nearly lost over the falls, luckily it got wedged in a rock.
Day 5 - Mulligan to George point. Nice easy day, a walk along the beach, a relaxing boat ride home.
Great trip, I recommend it to anyone.
And for those who are wondering (all of you), pack weight stepping onto the beach was 13 kg. I had pancakes for breakkie every morning.
