I'm interested in this, do you have a trip report? It sounds like a bomber winter trip.

I've done half of the trip, and that was over Jagungal, but that was going back a VERY long time ago now. The addition of the Main Range in a circuit would be a logical addition. Considering doing it next year if possible, not 100% on it though. Depends on annual leave, etc.

Thinking starting at Charlottes Pass, over the Main Range, Twynam, Tate, Rolling Grounds, then up from Shlink to Gungartan, to Mawsons via the Kerries. Then from Mawson across to Jagungal, down to Okeefes, then following the AAWT to Shlink, and down Disappointment Spur towards Charlottes, incorporating some off track to make it more interesting than a road bash. Maybe even up to Twynam via Pounds Creek, then down past Blue Lake.

Great South Western Walk may be good option.

You are bound to see koalas on Great Ocean Walk.

I live out West. There are lots of emus too. If your friend doesn't see any Emus on their walk then they should go to Tower Hill reserve near Warrnambool. You will see emus tree.
