Mt Pillinger 14/12/2007

Some photos from a trip to Mt Pillinger yesterday.
It's a great time of year to be out and about with the camera - so much to see on a walk.
A bigger collection from this walk can be viewed at http://www.tasadam.com
EDIT that gallery is currently offline.
Young myrtle leaves -

A couple of happy bugs -

A fern leaf in the sun-

Myrtle Orange -

Various flowers -

Berries -

Interesting wood -

One of the lakes walked past -

View of Lees Paddock and hut from summit -

A lizard called Ocellated Skink -

As a side note, Is Mt Pillinger spelt with one L or two?

Incidentally Pilinger apparently has one 'L' as distinct from "Pillinger" township on Kelly Basin, Maquarie Harbour.
However, I have found maps which contradict one another as to the spelling of Mt Pil(l)inger. It would be interesting to know the origin of both.
