Some fairly old photos here, but I only just got some software that could reduce my photos to an acceptable size

We started from Waldheim, following the horse track. Just above the Scout Hut, we broke through the clouds. Spectacular!

We climbed Cradle in perfect conditions, but the cloud was streaming in from the West.

It started to break up a bit on the way into Waterfall Valley.

We checked out one of the waterfalls - surprising to still have decent colour on the fagus in May. There was even a platypus foraging around the base of the falls!

The next day we climbed Barn Bluff in the cloud, and headed west to Mt Inglis. Thanks to various fourm members who helped with the planning of the trip. We had low cloud for most of the day, but did get enough clear patches to avoid getting lost!

From Mt Inglis, we headed back across country to the southern end of Lake Will and Innes Falls. These too were spectacular.

We ended up walking for about an hour by torch light along the Overland Track to get back to Waterfall Valley hut. It was a long and rewarding day.

The next morning we walked out via Lake Rodway. We had more cloud, a little rain and the fagus was well past its best in that area. We did see a pair of Black Cockatoos, which kind of made up for the poor weather.

We finished the walk by crossing Hanson's Peak and exiting to Dove Lake.
