Attached images can be any resolution so long as the file size is no more than 1 MB (attachments will be displayed by the forums as thumbnails no larger than 800 pixels linked to the full-size image).Please include a description of the pictures' content so that readers know what they're all about.

Walked from Oliver's Road to the start of the Roland/Van Dyke track along the ridge of Mt Roland last week. Was pretty overcast and dark so the pics aren't great. Those guys who do the triple peaks challenge are way too keen. Certainly not a nice flat track. Some of the rock formations up there are really interesting, especially on the peak to the left of the fire tower.

I find the rock types in Tassie very interesting.
The Great Western Tiers to the South are dolarite, but this looks like conglomerate.
I presume Roland is also conglomerate. Is this a continuation of the same belt of rock that makes up the West Coast Range?
Is it the same rock type on Black Bluff?
