Hi Lizzy,
Thanks for posting your photos, the snow looked great for snowshoeing, I am hoping to do much the same trip in two weeks, we plan to do the Rams Heads and walk around the south of Koszi.

Looks like great fun! I've never been to Kosciusko but it's definitely on my to-do list.

Looks like you're using yowies. Do you find they give much floatation? Although from these pics it looks like the snow was pretty consolidated.

Great pics Lizzy. That's the one thing about living up in QLD that's driving me nuts...I can't slip down to KNP for a cheeky trip or two like I used to. Thankyou for sharing. Looks like a fantastic trip

Thanks guys- we had spectacular weather! Caught the lift up from Thredbo walked across to Seaman's hut. The section from Seaman's to Rawsons pass was the hardest- straight across a steep bit.... A bit of slip sliding (& praying I didn't land on dodgy shoulder). Then straight up to Kosciusko and down the south side where a group were digging in a snow cave. CamPed at Cootatamba and next morning up Rams Head with a strong wind and back to Thredbo. I had on yowies & my hubby MSR Evos. Day one snow was a bit softer as the day progressed but we went along fine. Day 2 was a lot earlier & snow was icy and very easy. Was my hubby's first trip up Kosci & first snow camping- happy 10th Anniversary!!!

I just hope I get weather like that next weekend.
(Of course, I won't, but it doesn't hurt to dream . . . )
