Found a tent on the Viking this last weekend, just off the AAWT towards South Viking.

It was a short way down a slope half covered in vegetation. It looked like it had either fallen, or the owner had fallen down the slope and somehow lost it.

It's a good lightweight tent, and it's still in good condition, just a few small holes in the inner and a damp smell. From the UV damage to the bag, might have been there awhile.

If you know who it might belong to, please let them know, as I have carried it out.

And just as an aside, despite the terrible weather forecast, it was a terrific walk. Only rained for a few hours, a few centimetres of snow overnight, and the rest of the time was intermittent clouds and generally cool-cold.

You could post this in the Market Square and Lost Property section with a [FOUND] leading the subject. That way more people will get to see it.

Did you do the Circuit as a 2 night or 3 night?

We saw 3 other 'groups' out there this weekend, 3 people doing the AAWT, and a bloke doing the Viking in 2 nights and a couple doing the circuit in 3 like my friend and i. If you can tell me the brand i can tell you if it was a tent used by these people.

(Did you guys have the vehicle parked down in th gatta?)

Good weekend for sure! We could have chosen a wiser camping spot on the Sunday though. Camped between the Viking and South Viking and protected ourselves from the storm coming from the NW, but the wind was coming from both directions! snapped a pole, tore two guy-lines from the fly and a bent peg on my mates WE first arrow

i lost a tent and other gear 2 years ago, in that region. But I dont belief its mine. Tho a description might help. Mine was a Grey color Tarp tent Stratospire

If you do not find an owner I'd be willing to take the poles off your hands.
