How do I best do this? Mixing down.

I already had 100 grams of reasonable down here from Simon at TierGear and I just bought 30 grams of Eider from a firm in Adelaide as an add-on when I bought a new duvet for the bed.
that total is a bit on the lite side for a winter vest but probably enough in conjunction with my UL jacket.
My first and so far only thought is to buy a big strong and clear plastic bag; add the downs to it and shake like mad but perhaps somebody has a better idea.
About time I made the vest I've been talking about for years and use some of my fabric stash up

big strong and clear plastic bag;
Buy a new bit of white goods - they often come in such a bag.
Or, if too expensive, a garbage bag from the supermarket. Clear is best.

I did this with a clear bag, and I made two small holes at the corners. I stuck my arms in the holes with the down and filled (packed) 10 cardboard toilet paper cores. These were just the thing for filling the tubes of a quilt I was making without getting down everywhere.

Cheers

Not the easiest stuff to mix. Making progress but tomorrow I need to get a much bigger and transparent bag. Mixing in a black bag obviously I can't see what's happening and down flies everywhere when I open the bag to have a look

If the time between my last two (reclaimed) down projects is anything to go by, it'll take me ten years to build up to working with the stuff again.
That said, next time I'll build the device I intended to: A large storage tub with a noseeum false bottom and an extractor fan under that to provide constant draft and stop down from floating up out of the tub.

I have a new and much bigger plastic bag but I now need a bigger rubber band or two
Neo has gifted me a broken Uniqlo down jacket from which I will be salvaging an extra ounce of down, thanks Neo
